Hi Guys,
I'm considering installing a wideband AFR gauge kit for my RB30 carby Patrol(Stock Nikki carby)
It's dual fuel. The exhaust is the factory exhaust manifold.

I've come across below kits on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/191700103618?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

or the bit dearer one,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261571397731?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

or even dearer one,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111735398916?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

Are the above ones good enough for my needs of tuning the carby properly?

Is there anything that I need to be aware of buying and installing these kits in carby Patrols?

Thanx in advance for any advice.

I used an Innovate MTX-L for several years in my TB45E before converting it to diesel. Worked well, never had any issues.
I'm not sure how you'd use it with duel fuel. I think it needs to be set up for the fuel that's being used. I've never seen one that can be quickly switched to an alternative fuel.

Yeah, the basiclly AFR meter shows the air/fuel ratio on the display. I reckon its' up to us to tune the engine either for LPG or petrol, based on the reading we get on the AFR meter. Since I'm driving on LPG most of the time, it won't be an issue for me.

Sorry if I've misunderstood you but you need to tell the gauge what fuel is being used for it to display the correct ratio.
You can't switch from one fuel to the other without resetting the gauge for that fuel.

Ok, cool. Thanx. I didn't know that. Obviously there's a button on the AFR gauge to select the fuel type?
If that's a case, I may be able to get a reasonably happy medium between two fuels by using the AFR gauge when tuning the carby & the ignition timing/advance.

I strongly recommend ringing Peter from TechEdge for all the info you need. I bought one off him a he really knows his stuff. He can explain why the reading changes with different fuels. It's something along the lines of AFR is a calculation from the fuels stoichiometric value, which is different for every fuel.
