Hi all,

just wondering if anyone can clear up for me what the overrun clutch in the RE4R03A. I am of the understanding that it engages when the engine is turning over slower than the transmission to the effect of engine braking? How does this work?

Also, in light of what it actually does, how do you tell when its engaged?

Cheers, Dylan.

Ok so I've just read a few articles and found out about what they do, they allow the engine to turn slower than the drive shaft and hense reduces the effect of engine braking. I can understand how this works.

So then is there a clutch in them that engages the transmission side to the engine side so that they turn together? Otherwise youll never have any engine braking.
