Hi all, haven't been on here for awhile as my 1989 GQ 4.2TD has been running sweet. However, on the weekend it started running rough, smoking bad from exhaust and chewed thru a bit of oil. I topped it up and limped it home 200km. There is bad blow by and oil leaking into air filter and dripping out exhaust :( The pressure hose to the dump valve was off. Not sure if this created the problem? Turbo was still winding up? I'm guessing i'll have to strip it down and do rings, head refurb, turbo ect. Question is how good is this CEM product. Will it free up the rings if stuck? Is it worth running thru engine just so it cleaner for rebuild? Any thoughts welcome please:D

If the engine is damaged and you are about to do a rebuild, I wouldn't worry about any CEM products.
