Hi all, well I think it's time to give the patrol a birthday. I've had my 89 GQ TD42 for 4 months, and I've put 2,000km on it. It has 450,000km, ill be changing diff and (manual) gearbox oils to. Just like some feedback on engine flush, best filters, oils and method on filling diff and gearbox back up

I'll start of by saying make sure you can undo your filler plug on all of those before dropping the oils. Speaking from experience.
Sorry can't comment on what type of oils, filters etc your car needs.

I'm pretty sure you use Z503's oil filters for your rig brand won't matter too much as long as it's not Chinese eBay ones I reckon
I think the best value/performance engine oil is Penrite HPR 15 (15-50w semi syn)
As for flushing I use a product from a company called "cost effective maintaince" link to the product is here http://www.costeffective.com.au/Product/27/flushing-oil-concentrate

It is a great product use it as instructed, I just use a cheap 40w oil to do the flush with

The gear box/transfer case I use a 75-85w (but someone might have a better opinion)
The rear diff use LS 140
The front diff an 80-90w but you could also use LS 140 if you don't mind paying the extra lol

Hope this gives you a bit more of an idea mate :)
