Hi guys, well I'm just about ready to start building drawers with the father-in-law. We'll be using 12mm ply, 4 x 1000mm locking freeslide drawers slides, 6 tie down point, roof mounted led light, 2 lighter and usb sockets, marine carpet I'll post photos of materials and progress. We are starting building next Wednesday. Have one question before we start. Do I leave the original carpet down, bare or something else?

Leave it in mate. More insulation..
Just pull up the carpet and silicon any holes your not going to use..
Sounds exactly the same as what I have.
I didn't use runners though. I simply used uhmw (a tough as hell nylon) strip on the draw supports and draws. This means no wasted space between draws and frame..
I also used the seat belt mounts in the wheel arches to mount mine..
Enjoy the build.
Cheers

Ow and get one pair of locking slides and one free running set. Double lock is a pita and not needed. Just have one locking runner on each draw..

Made a bit of a mistake there with the slides brought 4 locking ones. Shouldn't be to bad though. Well here's an update on our progress

Well that worked out alright westy, old man has a couple GU and he's going to buy 2 locking sliders off me. Get a set of drawers made for himself. So now I'll order 2 none locking ones. Covered me there, thinking it would be a bugger with two locking on each draw

Well progress so far, pulled carpet out. Painted the floor with white kill rust, and put silicon in all the unwanted holes. Punch 6 holes in carpet for slates and brought longer bolts to go through slates into existing bolt holes. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/10/374.jpg

Yea I built my self and father inlaw a slide for our cf50's and hind site should have only bought 2 locking instead of 4..
It's just a pita with to..

Next up cut 6 slates of 12mm ply at 30mm wide. Glued 2 together to make 3. Trimmed the one just behind the seat to make lvl, then added a small block in the centre of it for support. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/10/375.jpg

With the bench saw cut a 6mm x 13mm recessed edge on top and bottom. Made a couple square edges, with holes to clap square with, glued and screwed togetherhttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/images/imported/2015/10/379.jpg
