Hi all, this has proberly been asked before. But I'll ask anyways as I'm new to the club; I just picked up a lowd k'd (not thrashed) rb30 out of a vl wagon. I have:
Rb30 motor;
All bolt ons;
Engine loom & ecu.
044 external fuel pump & surge tank.
I know the engine mounts, oil pickup & sump needs changing over. Is that all?
Any suggestions on what needs doing to complete this task. Cheers

I think you have all the basics you need. Just have a go at it. You will find any minor things on the go. Swapping the motor is the easy part.
It's the electrics you need to give lot of attention.
If you use the forum search or google search, you'll find plenty of information on this conversion.
Do post your progress here.

when I did mine , I found i had to make a bracket for the throttle cable , i used a skyline donor , basically i combine the patrol and the skyline ones together to get the placement i needed. i used a VL air box , if i think of anything else i will come back and add it

Hi mate,
Can you please tell bit more about "pressure cut out switch" for the "surge tank pump"?
A picture would be great as well.
I'm guessing the intank electric pump of the long range petrol tank won't do it for EFI.
And perhaps the intank EFI pump is needed from a Skyline or VL Coomadore?!!
Thanks
