Have been reading this forum for a little while and thought it was about time I registered and said hello :)
Have a 2001 Patrol GU 3.0 - managed to pick it up off a friend of a friend, so was a great deal. Previous owner had to replace the engine, so probably about 40,000kms into the new engine.
It has a Gas injection system that was added to it (before I purchased), but my mechanic advises against using it as seen them cause a lot of problems - will be interested to hear what the general consensus is on these systems? Havent really used it, as aware of the potential problems with the engines and didnt want to add in and extra problem point.
If I google for anything Patrol orientated, I usually end up back here - so thank for the great resource that the members are providing. Looking forward to getting amongst it :)
