Just came across this and might be an option for me to keep the dual batteries under the bonnet.
Currently have a 3L patroldocta replacement airbox which I don't like.

They look ok. But what a pita getting the filter out to change each time.

Looks like you just undo the bolts and slide it out? Like a two minute job.

I like the finish on it.
Does it have a water trap?
I have a hilux cylindrical setup on mine and it's very similar to that and it works well. Although mine has the cyclonic type setup where the bigger bits of stuff get separated.
But it's off a Toyota so you win.

Yea but that side is facing the engine.
Not like the stock one where your undoing a nut from the top.

$600 they sure know how to charge , but I suppose a bit of R&D went into it, well you'd hope so

It states in the description for for a GQ model "this airbox does not fit with a dual battery setup."

I've seen a few dual battery setups on gqs that have the second battery up against the firewall

Yeah I'd be looking at the GU one though, if it doesn't fit it could be made to fit... Lol
I think I'm going to have to move the battery to the back of the car anyway, any decent air box is just too big.
The battery trays that go on the firewall can only fit a small battery.

Smaller and allows dual batteries.

does this airbox allow better/more flow with your motor.
You need dual batteries for camping, maybe a small one
in the engine bay for led lighting and a designated power
pack in the rear for fridge duties [solar compatible]

That's pretty much what I'm asking here.

My mate has a normal size battery up against the passenger side firewall. I reckon ha made the bracket himself. Not sure if there's more room there in a petrol
