Hey, this is probably a simple one but..

Do you guys turn off your headlights and let them cool down before doing a river crossing at night?

If so, how long do I leave them? They'll be on for a few hours before the crossing, so guessing they are going to take a while to cool down.

I don't want to crack the lenses, and I'm only using 55/60w bulbs - but doing a night run with multiple crossings, just wondering what method you guys use so I don't come home with busted lights.

Or am I overthinking it?

wont get too hot with 55/60 bulbs ,
5 mins on a cool night is all that may be required.
Most dont worry about it I think

You will crack your headlights splashing through bogholes anyway on a night run

Plus then you can't see... that's the good thing about having lights on your roof, if they go underwater you have bigger problems haha
