Ask and I will tell..... How did this mystical smaller turbo perform on the 11mm pump?

Any results you can share on your 11mm pump using the larger of your mystical turbo?

When are you getting a 12mm pump?

Is the turbo brand listed on that site or is it an Internet conspiracy?

Fruit loop?

How did this mystical smaller turbo perform on the 11mm pump? The smaller turbo hasnt been fitted yet. We only received it today.

Any results you can share on your 11mm pump using the larger of your mystical turbo? Well I did a back to back comparison between it and one of the best on the market. It performs exceptionally well and worked beyond our expectations

When are you getting a 12mm pump? When money permits this performance stuff isnt cheap

Is the turbo brand listed on that site or is it an Internet conspiracy? Borg Warner EFR series turbos.

Fruit loop?

Anymore you want?

Anymore you want?

Can you please let us know the results of old mate when it is available?

What brand of turbo was the comparison?

Do you have figures to share of your set up?

If it was beyond your expectations what expectation did you set?

Prior to old mates results at this stage what do you expect of old mate and which way at this point would be the viable option if one would want to head down this path?

nissannewby
11th September 2015, 09:18 PM
I will yes.

The compared turbo was an 18g from ufi.

It currently is doing 121kw and nearly 350nm of torque.

Tried not to set many expectations as it was something that hadnt been used before. But the size of the turbo also a little doubt because it is bigger than conventional sizing but the technical specs say otherwise. So when it performed the way it did compared to something much smaller we were very happy. Not to mention the features it has over a lot of turbos on the market.

By what we know now with the larger one the smaller one should really come alive a lot sooner and be a more mid range turbo with good torque and power capabilites.

Do they want Drug Money for it like UFI do??

The big one I was quoted retail for 3300, but the dollar has dropped more since it's at 69 cents mate. We are hurting hard!!!

The big one I was quoted retail for 3300, but the dollar has dropped more since to be honest the way you blokes were talking I was expecting higher than that.

Retail they arent cheap but they have some very nice features. Dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge, stainless turbine housing, titanium turbine wheel, billet compressor wheel, recirculation valve, speed sensor port and the best internal wastegate on the market imo.

to be honest the way you blokes were talking I was expecting higher than that.

The price is what makes them appealing. They represent good value for money.

It will. The exhaust housing option we have chosen will require an adaptor but it will bolt to the standard manifold.

Will need to be fabricated.

Pretty keen to get this going before my money saved disappears.

Matty if you can help me with the dump pipe I'll buy the 6758 ?

nissannewby
6th November 2015, 07:27 PM
A dump pipe will need to be fabricated. Its not a big job. Any decent exhaust place should be able to knock one up relatively easy. If you can weld then you could even have a crack at it yourself.
