Hey guys,
My vehicle is a GQ RB30 patrol(carby model).
I did a welch plug couple of weeks ago to find out that it's leaking again.(30mm plug)
I'm pretty sure I did it the right way with care.
Yet, few days later it started leaking again(very slow).
So, I have to do it again.
I decided the best way to ensure it won't happen again is to use some sort of sealant.

The bloke at Burson sold me this Permatex stuff. He said it's good for the job.
I prefer to seek more opinions on that. Stuff is kinda watery, not necessarily greasy like typical silicone type sealant.
It says it has vegetable oil in it.

My question is,
Is the above sealant the best for the job?
Are there any other better sealants that I can use to redo the leaking new welch plugs like mine?!!

Thanx in advance for any advice.

Hi Garett,
What's the best type, non hardening silicone gasket sealant or the hardening type sealant?
