Hi all,

Today I got a good price on a replacement fuel tank for my LWB GQ, it's an LRA 147 litre unit, but being second hand, it hasn't got instructions.

I imagine it's fairly straightforward, but I want to find out if there's anything to watch out for, and also whether I can install my factory sender for the gauge etc, (I can only see one wire exiting the LRA tank at the pickup), there's also a fitting on the back corner that looks like it might need replacing, but I'm not sure what it should be fitted with / to etc, I don't think I have an in tank pump being carbie, but I'm not sure, anyhow, I haven't fitted one of these before so any help would be appreciated. I figure I should research before I rip the old tank out...

Thanks very much, cheers.

Have you tried calling LRA to see if they can advise?

Not yet but I'm thinking that may be my next course of action, not sure if they'll supply instructions when I didn't buy it from them direct, but I guess the worst they can do is say no.

Just an update, what a top mob, even though I explained I purchased the tank secondhand, they emailed me a full set of instructions.

Bugger, looks like I'll have to remove fridge slide and fridge, panelling etc to get at the top inspection cover when I do the install. Hoping I wouldn't have to but them's the breaks, (hopefully not literally) :-)
