Hi guys n girls

Heading to Canberra early October 2 take the missus 2 Floriade.

Is there anything we must see while there?

Planning on driving down early Saturday morning and check out is 10am on the Monday and Sunday is dedicated 2 Floriade so only will probable only have a few hrs on Saturday and Monday.

Was thinking the reptile zoo as I love reptiles, anything else worth seeing?

Cheers

Far out Toddo, could have organised a weekend other than the one we're away. We're up north for a couple of weeks.

Anyway, There is a shit loads of brothels, strip joints, massage joints, etc if you're interested:)

Seriously though mate, I'm not the best person to ask but the reptile inc is great. Pete is a great bloke and is willing to have a conversation with you no problems. http://reptilesinc.com.au/
He has reptile shops in Kambah and Queanbeyan.
National museum is worth seeing for some Australian history. I actually enjoy going there.lol http://www.nma.gov.au/
Mount Ainslie Lookout is a good place for some scenic pictures as you'll get 360 deg view of Canberra. http://visitcanberra.com.au/attractions/9002606/mount-ainslie-lookout
War Memorial is fantastic if you're into it and really educational for the kids. It;s right next to Mt Ainslie too. https://www.awm.gov.au/
Old Parliament Houses is good and you can dress up in old-fashioned gear for photos...lol and some great history there.. http://moadoph.gov.au/
Questacon is great for the kids sort of like science and technology education center for the kids..https://www.questacon.edu.au/

There's a few others but most of these listed above will be short drive from Floriade

If I think of anything else will let you know

Enjoy!

Hey Matty, You're more than welcome to use the caravan while you're here . On the other side of town but being Canberra it's only 30min drive to Mitchell

Thanks mate, I had considered giving you a call when I couldn't find a caravan park that would cater for camping trailers but ended up bighting the bullet and spending some $$$ for a cabin at a caravan park

Must say although I didn't get 2 the brothels ( missus would leave me if I did! ) and Kris took his moonshine with him and the fact I done things there that really had no interest 2 me, I very much enjoyed driving on the roads there, they seemed heaps more thought out then Sydney roads :) and the temps there were perfect for the long weekend :)
