Sorry for another turbo question but I've done countless hours of searching and have gotten head aches with the amount of turbo options available for patrol's.

So I'm after peoples experiences of turbo's that they have had installed onto there pride and joys please.

My car is a Y60 wagon TD42 silver top, 10mm pump, Y61 air filter box just finished being fitted.
I want to keep the 10mm pump as it has only just been rebuilt, I'm not after super max HP after all its not going to get entered into tractor pull races.
My general use for it is partly daily driver, touring and camping, slow 4x4ing.
What I want it to do is hold its own on the hwy and actually get to overtake something and to have some punch while in the bush.
I've settled on a radius fab high mount design exhaust manifold. I'm interested in the TD05 16g 8cm and the GT2860 which sound like they are the best options for this motor with a 10mm pump.
I was looking at the TD05 16g 6cm but think it will choke the exhaust at higher rpm. Thoughts on this?
Are there anymore options for high mount turbo's?

Has anyone any info on these choices like starting to boost rpm, max boost rpm, sitting on the hwy compared to in the bush, good for high rpm or low rpm?

Both the 2860 and 16g are well matched. I would use the 6cm with the 16g if you plan on keeping the 10mm. Possibly a t3 .64 for the 2860. You could use a .48 but it may restrict top end.

Hey check out Gturbo in Balcatta WA.
I'm led to believe They locally manufacture hi flow turbos and have recently developed a couple of kits inhouse for the TD42 in high mount. I'm researching this subject also and I came across these guys. I can't vouch for the performance, I haven't spoken to anyone with one on their rig yet.
Worth giving them a call.....
