Your breathers for front diff, gearbox and transfer case shouldn't have got any water in them if they were still the factory setup (up into the passenger side front guard) unless the water got in some other way?

Did water come out when you drained the front diff and gearbox?
I've had water over the bonnet a lot of times and haven't had any get into the front diff or gearbox. The breathers are fairly high up from factory. Are yours connected properly?

na breathers weren't screwed in properly and they leaked. Now i have diff breathers up inside the bonnet at the top of the firewall :)

Yeah that was it. Funny though, 12 months or so prior, in the bog hole just before that one, I blew my clutch in it, and some time before that BA did his clutch too. Then stupid me does his clutch again and everything else in the same spot. Thing is, that spot in the pic, I had been through many times before on 33's. On 35's there and was stuck, real good. No more of that sh!t for me, unless I have no choice.

Yeah, I pretty much gave
up going through bog holes
after crossing the very muddy
Surrey river in flood and
the boggy swamp adjacent
to it.
Repair list. Alternator
Aircon belt
tensioner bearing
Water pump (bearing)
Wet smelly carpet.
Wet electrical joiner
under passenger seat.
Mud and water in
timing belt.

You guys must have evil mud. I've smashed mine through a lot and have only ever replaced a starter motor (which slowly died, not as a direct result of mud). Oh and I've never ever done a clutch...... Auto power! Lol
Edit: I did have smelly carpet for a bit once

At the risk of sounding judgemental the words ‘dick’ & ‘heads’ come to mind! :D
But such words are probably best applied to those who do it a second time!

Could n't go back the way we came, so just had to press on. I didn't get stuck, although the Old Trol was wading bonnet deep in the muck for ages. But thanks for your judgement, mate:)
