Hi All,
A quick intro to say Hi.
I actually own a VL Calais with an LS coversion. As i'm good with wiring, i'm helping a friend put an LS1 into his GU Patrol at the moment. So I do have to admit that i'm here for the manual download to help me.
If you are still interested in my car (sorry it's not a Patrol) - here are some quick details:
- 1988 VL Calais
- 408 Cubed LS2 with L98 heads.
- 13.5:1 compression
- Runs on e85
- Full manualised T400 with 4800 stall
- Custom 3.5" 1piece tailshaft
- 1 7/8" primary custom made headers into twin 3" exhausts
- Was running an LS1, but that has been removed to make room for the newly built LS2
Happy to answer any questions on the car.

Well at least your honest..
The VL sounds awesome. Had a 88 Calais as well non turbo 6, red over silver with B45. The look back in the day.
Should get your mate on here to. Any Patrol is a good one, with a V8 it's better.

I started out 15 years ago with a Non-Turbo 6 in a VL Calais.... fell for them ever since. Sold that and got a genuine Calais Turbo, which is the car I have now - pulled the Turbo engine out to put the LS1 in about 2-3 years ago now.
Ran an 11.9 on street tyres (not a lot of traction) with the LS1, so now it's time to upgrade and get more HP!
I'll suggest to my mate to join up - if he isn't already. He's looking at putting twin turbo's on the LS1 once it's up and running in his Patrol. It's a 2006 GU with a huge lift kit in it.

Been playing with VL's too long. I know them inside and out. As such, ended up learning how to completely rewire it, and from there ended up doing custom wiring jobs for many of my friends - mostly with LS conversions.

G'day mate and welcome aboard. Although this isn't a Commonwhore forum, I'm sure there's a few here who wouldn't mind seeing some pics of yours, if your able to throw some up that is.
