Separate key & fob into a all-in-one key ?

Is it possible to go from a separate key and separate fob to a all in one unit??? My CRD Patrol was all in one pictured below, but current 4.2 are separate units.... Somewhat annoying. Is it possible to get it re-keyed and NATS-ed to a single unit???
I can imagine Nissan charging a fortune for this ... (if possible).

Id go see a locksmith. Might be possible they could do this. I might just go do this myself actually one day. Theres a good one down in Preston on high st. BA knows who they're called. I can't think of the name right now. Ive used them twice so far with good results.

I'm sure he can. It was a while ago, he did a new key for me and a spare, i think. I think I had to Ring Nissan and get the NATs code or something... No that was the code for the ignition barrel to get a key cut to the barrel code, not just copying off the already worn key.

Cool. Ill ask the question. I want to make sure its doable as I know 4.2 Ti are sensitive when it comes to NATs as its linked to injection pump and can play up.
