Hey guys,
My rig is a GQ RB30 manual carby.
I've been trying to diagnose the reason behind the oil leaks from the rocker cover gasket for years. PCV valve was ruled out after doing tests on it.
So, the idea was the excess blow-by.
But, couldn't find any blow-by on standard tests while idling.

As it was pointed out to me, the blow-by might have been happening while high revving when warm. And that exactly is the case, and can also be an intermittent as well.

Both PCV valve hose and the air filter hose are venting to the air atm.
However, only the venting of the PCV hose seems to help with stopping the blow-by.
Yet, the PCV valve was tested to be working fine.

Either way, the solution apparently is a catch can setup.(while I'm considering the replacement of the PCV valve as well)

Now, I'm wondering which way to go with the catch can setup.

Since the PCV valve is doing a job of sucking in bow-by, which is basically combustion gas, I should make sure it happens that way, shouldn't I?
I'm wondering, to complement the blow-by suction of PCV valve, should I,

1)Drill a separate hole on the rocker cover and setup the catch can?
2)Use the breather hose that goes to the air filter to setup a catch can? or
3)Create a T-joint on the middle of the PCV hose and join the catch can there?

Thanx in advance for any advice
