This morning while driving I heard the fanbelt squeal a couple of times.
I had the belt tensioner replaced about 2 years back (genuine) and the vehicle has done about 30,000ks since it was done.

Could someone give me some advice on how to check if this is buggered again.
If it is, has anyone had any good or bad experience with the non-genuine ones??

While have a look in the engine bay I also discovered a split in the air hose where it clamps to the inlet side of the turbo.
Split at the moulding seam.
Has anyone had this happen?

At the moment I have done a temporary repair using self amalgamating tape, but don't know how long it will last.
Most likely this part is genuine only unless someone has any other suggestion?

Thanks

Stick to OE for the tensioner, could be the tensioner bearing on the way out,
replace with bearing NTN-WC 87503 [Roofy].
As for the split hose Id be sourcing a new one from Mr Nissan,
who knows that tape may last for ages

Thanks TD.
Is there a way of checking if the tensioner is crook?

Not sure with the tensioner, but take the weight off it, it may be like a shocker.
bearing easy enough to test.

My vehicle is a CRD and looking at the pics on eBay they appear to be not the same, will contact the supplier.
Thanks

Spoke with the company today about this pipe. Says it will fit the CRD, I ordered one.

You should be happy with it Daryl, I am with mine the clamps aren't to flash but for $130 its much cheaper then the Nissan stealership prices.
Oh you can also connect the trim dial for your dawes valve to this inlet induction pipe too.

Thanks Peter,
The pipe was delivered this morning.
I see what you mean about the clamps.
I replaced the originals a while back with some stainless ones, and will use them.
Thanks again for the assistance.

you might be better off getting some constant pressure clamps, a lot better than OE wire jobs.
a little bit expensive but well worth it imo

No Probs Daryl oh also I've used the after market belt tensioner from EBay $60 odd I think, no problems sofar just get the correct size I kept the old one as spare its in my parts box for when I travel; Hi Threedogs constant clamps sound good but im leaning more toward the Tbolt type they are wider, adjustable and only a couple bucks from AutoBarn.... http://www.fjord.com.au/43-large_default/gbsm-w2-heavy-duty-hose-clamp.jpg
