G'day to all on the forum.

Name is John and we currently run a 1012 GU2/ZM8 - ZD30, Manual and White. Previous was a 2000 Champagne GU2 with similar build, but somewhat faded over time.

Ex Techie with a Comms background, playing mainly HF on the road. Like trying out various aerial systems and so on. Interested in long haul radio propagation characteristics - the Patrol is a great platform but mainly bitumen work. Great for long haul (for me thats 3-10 thousand kms). Frequent interstate trips, generally one up.

Also an interest in road bikes.

Looking forward to meeting like minded people.

Cheers,
John

G'day John

Welcome to the forum and glad you could join us.

Love your callsign. lol. I'm an ex navy radio operator (morse code, etc) and belong to the VKS737 network. I've got the NGT AR and the 9353 auto tune whip.

I'm heading over east around Oct-Nov next year.

Take care out there.
