Good morning fella's
i have a 2014 Gu 5 speed and have noticed a really bad burning rubber smell from under the bonnet coming from around the coolant bottle and radiator, it gets very bad after it is under some load,IE hill climbs and what not, i cant see any visible leaks the car is only 26,000 kilometers (a lot of touring)old and hasnt really been trashed too much off road (yet) is this a common thing? the temperature gauge does not rise when the smell becomes apparent. I just had the clutch and flywheel replaced 1000 kays ago to heavy duty Xtreme outback unit and a single mass flywheel after it cherynobled in the big dessert border track and i was wondering if the extra load from the clutch might make a difference?? thanks in advance for any help, 60734

Dont think there's anything too much to worry about

Mine has had the same smell too, and a trace of coolant from the expansion tank outlet

Still OK at 80K .....

Check the drive belt for burn marks, could be the belt tensioner momentarily seizing
