Hello,

Anyone had any dealings with these guys in Deer Park Victoria?
Saw them at the show and they have some cheap stuff, looking at a rear bar and I can't justify the prices ARB etc. are asking.

I have not dealt with them, but they with me. Seems like an o.k guy to me??. I see they are advertising on one of the 4by shows on Ch31.

Really check quality. I think the powerful4x4 guys I got mine off changed their name to that. It's really not worth buying cheap.

Spot on Kat. My dad bought a rear bar and sliders from powerful 4 x4 a couple rears ago, quality was a real issue!

The rear bar wouldn't fit up directly - they recommended using washes to help with alignment and pack it out. And a set of rock sliders rusted from the inside out within 6 months of being on!!!

To their credit however, he got a full refund on both items (minus freight of course) - but still just be aware.

If you're looking for a rear bar, maybe try raslar or something like that - a few guys have them here, most with positive feedback

Also Last 4x4 show kamar had a few bars in production aimed at the more budget conscience buyers - same build quality but less time spent on the finish

Yep that's the one hodge. I can't remember the exact costs, but more in the $2-3k range as opposed to $3-4k for the kamar

Got quoted $2700 fitted with a wheel carrier and Jerry can holder on the other side.

The real deal kaymar bars are $4k+ for the same setup.

Thanks all, basically I'm looking for something to take my wheel off the back door. If it has two wheel carriers it's a bonus. I had a look at ARB, KAYMAR, MCC and a couple of others at the show. Sure they had better finish, quality and maybe better steel but minimal if any difference in steel thickness.
For the difference in price I'm prepared to put up with that (I think).

Have a look at Raslarr mate. I have done some home work my self as I want a rear bar too. So far it's the Ozbar from Kaymar or Raslarr.

Have you read much on Raslarr? I wish I had before I ordered all my stuff. I know 4 people with his bar work (myself included) and krisso is the only one who had a pleasant experience.
Look at the end of the day I have a really good rear bar (except all the powdercoat has fallen off) but the customer service was absolutely atrocious and the finishing touches just were not there.
Cheezy is back in business as Offroad & Custom and his stuff looks great.

Thanks for that mate I will take that on board personally. I've briefly done some reading about bars, and most had a positive experience, albeit a few did say they had issues contacting raslarr. I saw the Ozbars today at the 4x4 show and they are a nice bit of kit I had a look for Raslarr stand but must have missed them ...
