Hi all, I'm Dylan and I live in New Zealand. I've got the pleasure of owning a '92 Safari LWB. TD42 with aftermarket turbo (boosts up to 12lb). Auto tranny and elec winch up front. All electrics 24v - blown the lights on plenty of trailers with that one haha. I've been reading around this forum and decided why not join in. Cheers

Gday Dylan, Welcome aboard mate. How do you find the auto with a TD42? I've always thought that setup would be really good for getting torque to the ground

TD42 auto is great. I personally prefer manual and might look at a conversion later on maybe, but the auto is brilliant. Plenty of torque from a stand still, pulls away fast (fast for a 2 tonne truck anyway) and no issues with reduced power due to auto trans. Only thing that annoys me a little is when it goes into lockup in overdrive it takes a fair bit of stick to get it to kick down, but the OD button deals with that no worries.
