I going to have a look at my wheel bearings today. Do I need one of these to adjust.

A hammer and punch will work in a pinch but the tool is by far a better option. If you can get your hands on one, do it.

Think it might been worth it as it will be used more than once.

Yeah definitely, keep it somewhere in the truck as you'll never use it on anything else and it just might come in handy one day on the tracks.

you'll also need a 12mm allen key with a 1/2" socket drive to remove the FWH.
A brako bar will also come in handy, I need to nip up one on mine on the weekend.
The OE bearings failed at 150K on mine

8mm actually.
Also castrol lmx grease is water resistant isn't it?

And one more.

When putting the locking plate back on I'm halfway between two holes, best to go which way. Tighter or loser.
