does a two inch spring lift affect the rear stabi ?

2" lift you can leave the stabiliser as is if you want but you will usually get more travel if you extend the link pins to suit the lift. It is a bit more difficult to extend the factory stabilizer disconnect where fitted but it can be done.

A lot of people remove one or both swaybars altogether to get more travel and swear that it has no affect on the on road manners of the car. I have had Patrols with front bar removed and both removed, my current Patrol has both sway bars fitted and I can say it corners a lot flatter with the sway bars connected. Most of the time you will hardly notice the difference with them removed and get used to it very quickly, but it's when someone or something suddenly appears in front of you forcing you to swerve violently that you will wish you still had them fitted and connected.
My GU has a 5" lift with extended factory swaybar links, I have 300mm of front suspension travel (measured from wheel rim to guard) and half a meter at the back.

I'm running with no front or rear swaybars with a 4" lift, definately can notice it, handles like a boat sometimes.

even before my lift, driving on road with the rear stabilizer disconnected made it wallow a bit if I swept from left to right. As I understand, stabilizers also affect understeer and oversteer, the thicker the bar, the more likely that pair of wheels will slide, rather than inducing body roll. So removing the front stabilizer will make the front wheels less likely to slide in a bend (understeer), but you will get more oversteer and body roll (a bad combination as that's when things tip!).

The "stiffness" of the springs also contribute to body roll Mayb called rebound rate I've got 4" lift without swaybars and wifey gets a tad seasick. hahahahaha

True - mine has medium springs (4" lift) in the front and dropping the swaybar off makes little on road difference. The rear flexes well on it's own (like all patrols) and I can't drop mine off yet anyway as the upper control arm hits my fuel tank - getting a bent Superior Engineering arm put in to sort that though. It's generally the front you want more flex from and to be honest, they aren't hard to drop off when you want to, and then reconnect before the drive home - just zip tie the bar up once disconnected from the link pins so you don't drag them through anything and bend it/snap off the brackets.

Have you swapped the shaft around so the thin end is up front and clearing the cross member?? Might be the thick end if the shaft touching the cross member that's giving the vibration? 2" lift shouldn't be an issue normally (I have 4" and have no vibration). Others will have further comment no doubt mate.

As per posts #13 and $14 this is not usually an issue with a 2" lift. If you are getting the vibration in 2wd then you may need to fit either cross member spacers or adjustable rear upper control arms.
