Hi Guys,
My name I Simon. I am from beautiful Rockingham over here in Western Australia. I currently own a Pajero but am looking at moving up to a patrol. I have a budget of about $10000. I am looking for a GU, most likely a 2.8l.

Cheers for letting me in.

Welcome to the forum Simon. I'm sure one of the 2.8 folks will give their opinion.

g'day Simon and welcome aboard.

Just out of interest, why the 2.8 GU? Not that I have anything against them but 10K will see you in a very nice TD42 GQ with a bit of coin left over for bit's n pieces.

Thanks guys. Found a 2.8 with a rebuilt motor for $8000. Going to have a look at that. Any ideas what warning signs to look for?

Hi clunk. Had thought about the gq with a 4.2 but the ones I have seen are either clapped out body wise, really really high kms or over my budget. If I found a good one I would not over look it.
