Sorry we missed the cold meetup but heading out again in a few weeks OS ..

Lot's of great times and places, a few jerks who ruin it for the many and a lot learned.

OK, I’ll bite. Why are you selling another CT & what were the main things you learned. (I’m guessing that needing a lighter trailer in some country may have been one thing & maybe the need to travel slower?)

Am looking forward to your pics & trip report.

Basically, we are not caravaners. We enjoy camping alot so we thought we'd give the CT a try and the PRC built unit did an excellent job mechanically, failed the dust test though.

The fundamental reason is a very, very long answer that would probably be best delivered over a beer or beverage of choice. I am going to finish upgrading the engine (4" snorkel/airbox/12mm pump and intake manifold, not Pla$$$men) on the Patrol and either build a trailer or modify something to do some inland traveling. We are really more boaters (sail) and looked at a few on the way back. Headed off to the Sydney boat show this week to have a look see. House is on the market and have a couple interesting bites. We were by a couple TVAN's, they are good kit but wife has a couple health issues and we need something like a Eco-Tourer that is 1K kg's lighter. Ran into a couple great ET folks from TAS at Mission Beach QLD and spent a good bit of time going over the units with them, loaded, they are heavy.

Also looking forward to pics and stories. Very much enjoy to hear from people what did and didn't work with their setup. I think most of us will adjust our own ideas of what we want over time, but still nice to hear ideas from everyone. Especially those who have done a trip and have fresh ideas. So, if you have the time let us know.

Recognise Bell Gorge (I think?) & envious of the Wandjina pic - am yet to see some myself. Pleased you got to Lenny & Jacinta’s place at Whalesong - hope you loved it as much as we did. The dog looks like Jimbo, but I’m not sure if it was taken at Whalesong or not. :) Hope you get your computer sorted out. Will enjoy hearing/seeing more when you are feeling a bit less pressured by us mob.

Free camp on top of a good sized hill, 4x4 C/T only access. We were the only ones there. Could see for kilometers in about a 200 degree arc.
