hi my name is daniel i am new to this i live in cooloongup wa and have just got a gq 1997 4.2 diesel wagon in the hopes to meet people to go off road with and to get answers reg the gearbox in it thanks

thanks for all the replies. can some one please help direct me to some info.
i have just got a 1997 GQ TD42 patrol with noise in 1,2,3 and 5 been told by the specialist that the lay shaft and input shaft is U/S have picked up a petrol TD42 box to put in and i would like some info on how to r'n'r. i know its a C#@t of a job but i think an engine crane through the shifter hole will be my saviour thanks reg daniel
