Afternoon all.
I've read that there is a alarm that beeps if the key is left in the ignition or something got to do with the seat belt,
My problem is that this has only just begun yesterday.
Regardless of the position of the key and the seat belt it always beeps after I turn it off.
It's driving me mad how do I stop this.

Do these even have a buzzer for the seat belt? My understanding it was only for the headlights?

Thanks for the link Tuppa.
Will have a look see.
What I've got is 3 short beeps 3 times, then it stops. Is this what the key buzzer sounds like? Only started a few days ago.

What have you done to the car in the last week? This might give us some clues.
Regardless of the position of the key and the seat belt it always beeps after I turn it off.
What if you turn the car off and leave the keys in the ignition? Or take them out instantly?
I'm just looking through the service manual now and I can't see any mention of how many beeps means anything.

That's just did I haven't done anything to it. A few weeks ago I replace some fuses that will blown, when I install those LED interior lights and since then I did the timing seal and the A/C bearing.
This only started a few days ago. It beeps 3 times regardless of the position of the key or interior light.:confused::confused:

No other wire to plug into it.
I don't think this is a problem.

Take the LED interior lights out and put the originals back in. Might be stupid enough to work.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but the lights where in for a a week or two before this started. Still I go and give it a crack.
Thanks

Checked my annoying alarms.........goes beep beep continuously when the key is still in the ignition, does not stop until the key is removed.
Lights on alarm is a constant beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep and does not stop until the lights are turned off.
Going to do the mod tomorrow to stop all the noise

Changed the interior light, no change.
I don't think this has anything to do with the ignition or light.
Still have no idea on what's going on tho.

No idea then. Mine only buzzes / beeps when lights are on and the door is open, even with the key out of the ignition from memory.
The only other thing I can think of, is to disconnect the battery and even the dual battery if you have one. Wait for fifteen minutes or half an hour and reconnect them, see what happens. It might reset a computer component.

Had a thought...
I hear a similar sound when it runs out of gas. Not sure about how many beeps tho. Will call the gas company that did the install and pick their brains.

Yeah.... And your point....
I never fitted anything. It was all ready fitted and working when I brought it. And now it peeps at me regardless of the amount of gas that's there. Will call the company tomorrow and pick their brains.

Find the buzzer and cut the wires ;)

I rang the company that did the install today and it turns out that part of install was to put in a service reminder that beeps every 20,000 km, Cheeky buggers. They have it set through the ECU.
Now their not going to tell me how to override it, instead they quoted me $145 for a gas service + 40 if they need to clean something (wasn't really listening) something about carbon build up, might be throttle body....
I took it there when I first brought it and they changed the fuel filter (gas) and tune it up via the ECU. Is it worth it or is this overpriced?

Point was just incase something was amiss there. I see you found out the issue though....:smiley_thumbs_up:

After reading this again, your point was pretty obvious. Didn't mean for it to sound rude. :)
