I have a GQ Patrol 1993 and was wanting some info on removing the king pin bearings, repacking them with grease and replacing. What is the process when taking them out, do you need to jack the car up and take the weight off them first?

I work away in the mining game as a trainer, so on my breaks I try to do a bit of tinkering on the trol as much as my not so mechanical brain will allow me. It's a 1993 GQ wagon with a 2'' lift, fitted with the 4.2 petrol/gas, I have added HID headlights and spotties and kitted out the back with draws and slide out engel. I also had the dreaded patrol steering wobbles, but have since eliminated that problem altogether now, but the front wheels still seem to have a bit of wheel chatter travelling on the bitumen, which Ithought might be coming from the king pin bearings.
