Here you go guys, it aint that hard. I have to say that although there is a level of humour here this guy has made this video out of sheer frustration at the amount of toilet paper blowing around int eh outback. Clearly some people are Lazy and Thoughtless. Take Note.

Yeah how hard is it to dig a hole, pinch a loaf and cover it?

Burning the paper is important too... That stuff will stay around for years!

I just got back from a trip to Cameron Corner, Haddon Corner, Birdsville and Lake Eyre. One place in particular was an old railway bridge the Ghan used to run on outside Marree. When I stopped to take in the view there was an enormous amount of toilet paper around the base of the bridge where many many people have apparently relieved themselves.

It was a disappointing site to see. I mean pretty much most people travelling these routes carry a shovel. people just don't think. But hopefully this chaps YouTube video will get the message across.

As much as I hate to say this, the camping spots in Strathmerton and in and around Tocumwal need to have paid camping permits.

In return the council provides portaloos and pay for bags of wood at main gates or in town where they sustainably supply wood.

It's too busy now and people are camping ontop of each other!

Sounds ridiculous but the amount of toilet paper and literally crap on the ground is astonishing!

But of a generalisation and sorry ladies but it's mainly the woman.

The bush in those areas are stripped to nothing and they are just chopping live trees down and stripping branches and leaves off now.

Camping is very popular and those areas are the closest spots on the Murray from Melbourne.

There are literally 10's of thousands of newbie campers who go up there every break and they do not give two ships about the environment.

Ban wood collection in those major spots, sell wood at the main gates, pay for permits otherwise that whole area on both sides of the border will be shut for ever.

My rant for tonight ;)

Dunno about the wood AB but i agree on paid sites. Like Murrundindi, then this would help pay for some long drops. Although i do prefer to dig my own hole.... Just waiting on the day i start to dig a hole and I break the crust on a freshly cover pile....

The whole area has seasonal floods which covers 70% of camp sites.

I think your talking about the bridge at Algebukina Rail bridge. This is a great spot to camp and I have stopped there a few times. We camped there on the way up to the Meetup in the middle last year. It's a shame people can't respect these places.

Before the Meetup in the Middle I made a couple of collapsible thunder dunnies, I am a big bloke and can't really handle balancing over a hole. You can buy these from your local 4wd shop too. Great thing.

A lot of blame needs to go to the backpackers in their ferral hippy vans. Those arseholes just don't give a squat about where they crap. They would shit on their bed if they could!
I've seen them everywhere on our travels and seen the don;t give a ferk attitude as it's not their country...Pricks!

Rant over...lol

It was the same at the Vrilya Point at the Cape. Absolutely disgusting and have to agree with AB the women were as bad with some of the stuff that was laying around. No excuse up there as the sand is soft and easy to dig.
Someone before us had put up a sign 'Don't be an animal, bury your 5hit', wasted effort unfortunately.

The Great Ocean Road is getting as bad, toilet paper streamers and soiled baby nappies at most places that have some seclusion.
Any wonder access is being restricted.

Whenever we are staying someware for more than a couple of nights we dig a hole as deep as we can and put a seat over it and a tent around it and that becomes the ladies toilet.

Good on him, this among other things makes me so so so mad and you can see he is very passionate too. It's very sad that this mentality is so widespread and getting more and more of a problem with exploding population among other things. You would like to think that the type of people that visit these areas do so because they appreciate the beauty and recognise how special these places are, but perhaps not. . .

I know for a fact some people do not give a fark ...
Popular camp site we go to in Howqua hills, Running creek camp site, has brand spanking drop toilets that would put any maccas toilets to shame.... But for some unknown reason people still drop their manure all around the joint, some buried, some not, 20-30m away from drop toilets... What in the f*** ? Last time we were there some cockroach attempted to throw his used toilet paper into the river but failed and it was left hanging on the branches above the water... Seriously.

every one should carry a long BBQ lighter from the Reject shop. $2 each.
Sick of picking up mess from other ppl. and yes there is Toot paper everywhere
where I fish. All ppl have to do is burn the excess paper, check fire restriction
for the area you are in too.
This is a pet hate of mine, would hate to see where these ppl live

It is a real hate of mine When ever you pull into a nice spot your
confronted with paper spread all over. It's not that hard toilet paper
has the same amount of moving parts as a shovel If you can master
one why not the other.

Porta loo , with environmental friendly chemical , dig 1 hole every 4-5 days , chemical breaks it all into a liquid , wife and daughters happy , and not having 4 people digging 4 holes each day , has got to be a good thing , packs easily into a camper as well !
