Hi Everyone! ... and some help please

Hi, After reading a lot of posts around I have recent bought my first Patrol!

I'm now a owner of a 99 2.8 GU patrol. As of now everything is stock, but not for long :wink:

Unfortunately 2 weeks in with the Patrol I am already experiencing issues with the car :blowup:
If anyone is able to give me some suggestions of what is wrong it would be great! (Please let me know if I would get more responses if I post this in other sections...)
Here is what I have noticed:
1) White smoke on cold start (does not blow any smoke when driving or when warm, not even black smoke)
2) Difficult to cold start, I have to hold the throttle pedal all the way down a few times before it will start)
3) Uses water. Seems to be gradually getting worse .

Please let me know if you guys want any more information!

Oh..almost forgot... I'm in Brisbane.

Personally I would put up a separate post mate with your issues as you should get a lot more people seeing your problem and hopefully someone can shed some light on it

I have a 99 2.8 UK car same as yours.

1.Mine blows a bit, not a lot, I can live with it.
2.Probably glow plugs shafted.
3.Hopefully,leaking rad or pipework. Worse case scenario,cracked head.

Other far more experienced people may be able to help.
