I THINK something broke? :(

Hey guys, I was looking through my car the other day (92' TB42 EFI) while we were cleaning the radiator all out and found a hose that looks broken.
I have no idea how to describe it or what function it would do so I have some pictures on it to help. I think it has something to do wit air...?
It runs from a hose coming from the air filter and then runs back under the air filter housing.

Any help to tell me what it is, what it does and do i need to replace it?

Common to snap off... just stick a hollow tube(may need to bore out a bit) in the housing then stick the hose onto it..

that or just plug the hole and the hose. its just a reference line for the air filter light. the light comes on is the sensor reads a difference between that hose and one located on the engine side of the air filter
