View Full Version : FREE Stanadyne Fuel Manager - Adelaide ONLY

Does anyone in Adelaide want a Stanadyne Fuel Manager for free?

It was on my CRD Patrol a couple of years ago but I took it off as there was too much resistance due to the extra length of hose (2.5-3 metre) needed to connect it from one side of the engine bay to the other and then back again. I can't be bothered installing a lift pump or fabricating a new bracket closer to the OEM filter.

I also have 2 new 30 micron filters ($35 each) and a new primer pump ($30) still in the box. If I can't sell these I will take back to point of purchase and trade for something else.

So in a nut shell, the used parts are free (Fuel Manager and plastic see through bowel + old filter). The new parts are $100 for the lot.

If interested just reply in the thread, first in first served.

Hi Mudrunner. I'll wait a little longer and see if anyone local is interested. You are first in line for the non Adelaide people. If no one is interested lically I can send over to you. Where you interested in the whole lot?

Hi mate if you can get a refund on the items to for it. If not then we can work it out. At this stage I want to figure out where I can fit it and to which car then work out what I need. I google the item briefly and looks the goods. Is 30micron the go?

I have an office in Adelaide if you want a drop off address and I can organize to get it back next time the truck come to Vic. Might be able to get a colleague to come past you and grab it.

30 micron is good as a prefilter. Gets rid of the larger stuff and still separates the water. Has higher flow rate. Next size down is 5 micron which is the size I was using originally. At that size you can use as the main filter, especially on di or td42 which are non CRD.
Pick up or drop off could be easy. I work just out of cbd (Hindmarsh).

Also, you don't need primer pump as you can use the one on oem filter but its a pain as you are drawing fuel through two filters. With the primer on the second pump you can prime each pump individually.

No dramas, Probably take the lot then. I will find out where my office is in Adelaide and where my Colleague is, he gets around a fair bit so would likely be able to come past you.

BUGGER!!! Now you've got me in a bind.
I did say I would wait a little longer but what constitutes longer? Mudrunner has also put in a semi local pick up offer. Do I need to put this to the members for a vote?

OK, I will solve your conundrum, if MudRunner's Adelaide's office satisfies your "local" criteria then he was the first to stake the claim therefore the prize shall go to him.

Cheers

Too late I'm afraid. Would have been interesting though. See who pulls the 'Cartman' manoeuvre.
