Hi everyone,
Came across this forum just after purchasing my patrol.
Been into 4dw for some time and have been driving a Mitsubishi challenger for the past 6 years.
I just picked up a 2012 ST wagon 3 weeks ago.
The day I test drove it it had 18500km on the clock.
Registered 03/13 and driven by a lady, it has never seen a dirt road until last Sunday while out on the dirt bikes.
It has around 5k of Nissan extras and purchased for a great price. A very lucky find.
I am over the moon and have been waiting a long time to purchase another patrol from when I owned my awesome MK 87 ex Telstra wagon.
So looking forward to viewing this forum and learning about what to do to protect my new love.
(Hope the wife will not see this post haha)
I have an active family that love the outdoors, this forum will give me even better ideas of where and what places to visit.
For now hello.

Regards
Rusty

Hi Kat,

Thanks for the offer, we are heading up past Woods Point to the snow line tomorrow to try and chase it, blizzard conditions.
We do Queens b-day trips to the Alpine national part every year before they close the tracks.

Will keep an eye out for a day or weekend trip, if anyone is doing trips anywhere within 2 hours from Springvale I'de be keen to join in ☻

Hi all on the forum, what an awesome site this is.
I have been reading and reading posts every night since joining and will make my first purchase next week to start the build on my new ride.
So excited to get things moving quickly and installing all the gear myself. Part of the fun getting dirty.
I took my rig for its first off road trip last Sunday and hit some nice muddy, slippery rutted hills.
Triied the factory locker out event though I didn't really need to, but I could.
Scrapped its bum due to no lift, the missus said that's not good you need a lift kit ASAP or you will wreck the car. Car i said this is a rig. Answer was what ever do you want the lift or not, big smile with a head tilt. Yes the car will get wrecked, suck suck then an O yes nailed it to my self. What a good understanding wife.
So it won't be long for the following mods.
Lift 2"
Second set of rims with 33", not sure what tyres yet but will have a set of each AT & MT
Snorkel not sure what brand
Fuel water trap before filter with electronic warning alarm
Under carriage protection, not sure what type
Scan guard 2
Pyro, boost, amp & volt gauges with pillar mount
Roof top bar light
Cargo barrier
Draw set, might make a good set after reading the DYI posts
Fridge and slide
Uhf 40, need to work out what type or just go the hand held for the time being

Wish list after this lot
Front bar
12000lb winch
Spot lights not sure what type as there is always something new coming out
Rock sliders, I think I will rip the side steps off

Any suggestions to the item brands I am unsure of please leave your thoughts.
I would like to get the good gear the first time.

Cheers to AB and everyone for a great forum
