Morning All,

Just sitting having the morning coffee on the deck and noticed the neighbour outside getting ready to chop more wood. He hooked up a large log to the winch and was winching it to the cutting area.

I watched as the log caught against another log on the ground (note these logs are about 12 feet long and 2 feet thick of good hardwood) so what does he do?

Back it off you say and try move the other log - Nope

He drives the car forward about a meter or so, revs it up and yup you guessed it he used a nice winch with steel cable as a snatch strap! 3 time he did it before he gave up.

All the time I am thinking I am going to hear the crack of steel or the guts of a winch come crunching out.

Yup nothing could go wrong here!

Tell him to use a Snatch Strap...
The results will be heaps more spectacular, you'll get more hits on the Utube Vids and the end result much more likely to be permanent.
You might even get a bargain or two at the Estate Sale
