Hello.

I live in Norway, northern Europe, on the complete opposite side of the world.

It seems, all the good stuff for patrols are sold from Australia. Problem is, the shipping quotes for having some thing sent over here are hillarious. A normal 2" lift kit at around $500 is easily $700 shipping ($1200 total + 25% tax + tax handling fee = grand total ~$1550). Stuff does exist in europe as well, but mayby only 10% of what you guys have "down there".

When ordering from USA, there are different services that allow the buyer to have items shipped to a hub, and then sent over seas at a very descent price. I once had a 3-cylinder diesel engine (Mitsu L3E) shipped from USA at under US$200.

Does any one know if such services exist in Australia?

Any other way to have more descent shipping rates?

Try UPS or Fedex. Problem is when you buy from a shop here, they will want to use their own select service, more so because they would have an account with them, the parcel will be insured aswell and the onus is on their courier company if the parcel gets damaged or missing.
If you say you will organise freight, they might still sell to you but its all on you if something happens. I've done it before, ordering from Europe to here, without any issues but if there is, the supplier will wipe their hands of it.
