I'm pretty sure you know what I mean but here's a pic anyway.

Obviously I don't want a used filter element, just the top and bottom.

If you have no luck with a private sale, maybe try gympie offroad, they are a wrecker aswell. I'm pretty sure they have a gq td42 wrecking at the moment. Their prices arnt to bad for a wrecker

As above mate and also try Patrolapart for second hand parts. Especially that part, I would never buy a brand new one off Nissan $$$.

Freight on the filter bracket wouldn't cost an arm and a leg surely.

I would never buy anything new from Nissan.
I also find Patrolapart's prices a bit steep.
Probably best to get a new one from Dubai.

Yes, but I look at in terms of TB45E petrol. Say, 250 kms round trip. That's ~50 litres of juice = ~$70.
Buying new from Partsouq starts to look more attractive.

I appreciate you taking the time to make the suggestion anyway..

The more I research this the more I think it's probably better to get a new one. These conversions are a bit "in for a penny, in for a pound" anyway..

I'm guessing I can make the bracket that goes near the brake booster but can't find a pic anywhere.

ZD30 and GU RD28 brackets are the same if it helps...

I'd be interested in seeing a pic if someone has one handy. I'm sure it wouldn't be a complicated thing to DIY.
