Yet another Tyre post!
Ok so now after my lift the Yoko Geolander 31's looks tiny. So looking for 33's (285/75/16) for the GUII
I was just about to go with the BFG M/T KM2, but have a pretty decent quote for some NITTO Trial Grapplers ($60/corner less than the BFG's). Looking around here, there isn't much about these tyres, so wondering if others have since tried these tyres out now and have any feedback, especially compared to the BFG's.
Duty wise, will probably be like 80% road / 20% off-road (QLD, so a pretty even mix of off-road surfaces).

About the only place the km2 will be better is in the mud. At 60 less a corner i would go the nitto. They are a good tyre.

Having a GU have you thought about 305's ,look so much better than 285s
but if it comes down to price stick with the 285s.

you can get 305 70 16 km2s for less than 300 at the moment ($1100 a set from memory) in Sydney not sure about your neck of the woods though, I had been tossing up several tyre options with the km2s as one of them but in the end to suit my current duties an all terrain was a better choice I also opted to keep it closer to a 32 size so I didn't loose to much power

Hmmm might have to ask around for 305's see if they are going cheap in in SE QLD as well, even on eBay at $300 + freight they aren't too bad a price, works out cheaper than the 285 KM2s.

I just had a price on some ballistic hijack rims 16X8 fitted with km2 in 305 70 16 for $1580, had to barter a bit in the end I went a different path and went with Toyo AT II as the misses manly drives to patrol an its onroad 90% of the time, I do love the km2s look great drive ok

Be careful buying tyres off eBay. I bought some Coopers from a big tyre shop in Sydney through eBay that weren't agents and direct import them. When I had wheels put on the troll they asked me if they were import tyres as they would not be sold from an out let here. Badly out of balance. the place where I bought the new wheels from we're not a Coopers agent so wouldn't think he would be making up stories.

I have the trail grappler in that size. I haven't tried the bfmts to compare but so far I've found them to be a great tyre, both on the road and mud. 59332
