1/4 Chop Melbourne

I'm looking for someone in S.E. Melb
To do a 1/4 I don't have the space or confidence to do it myself
Also don't have alot of coin as I'm on disability if anyone can help that would be great.

I started mine ages ago and will actually finish it this weekend maybe??? was going to weld but now I am just going with this method.

That's a good post from mudrhino.

If you were doing it on the cheap without wanting to do the work yourself you could buy the bottom plates from that place in Morwell.

I'm not sure if you can still get them but Rossco bought them very cheap.

You could simply mark out the cut with whiteboard marker, get friendly with a fabricator/welder and get them to cut it and weld the plates on.

Don't forget to move the brake light/indicator wiring before you cut.

Then get 1 can of colour match spray can, mask up on the next indentation of the panel and behind the indicator/brake light assembly happy days!

It really shouldn't take too long for someone to cut and weld and you touch up and spray it back at home mate.

That bloke who did yours AB would probably be a good one to use, he did a bloody top job. Racebred still have blanking plates on Ebay. . .

From memory I paid $500 for rear cut and weld and all four guards taken back 30mm and heat/rolled.

At a guess $250 would sound reasonable for a cut and weld.

Update .... plates are ordered and chop should be happening Thursday next week ... getting it done for $200.

Now to organize some paint. (already have a painter)
