Hi its Stoplight here,
Wondering if anyone has struck this problem.
My 2003 GU 4.8 auto, engine stopped at approx. 80 kph, yellow engine management light came on.
Could not find a problem, under bonnet, was well out on a bush road, as a last resort loosened fuel cap, and it started and ran perfect.
Once back in town, a mechanic hooked up a computer, showed throttle sensor malfunction, once engine stopped fault code cleared when restarted.
Am wondering which throttle sensor to order and replace, any suggestions appreciated.
I'm often in remote places towing, so need to sort this, before a disaster, if engine stopped when towing on a step hill off road......
