Hi,
I am Peder from Sweden. I am about to replace my 2,8 TD Patrol engine, in my -99 Y61, with a Landcruiser 4,2 TD engine.
To do that I need also to replace the FS5R50A gearbox connected to the 2,8 liter engine with the FS5R50B, used with the ZD30 and 4,2L Patrol engine.
I have already bought a FS5R50B gearbox. The trouble is that the "new" gearbox didn't come with a gear lever.
My question is if I can use the gear lever from the FS5R50A? That is to say - is it the same type of connections between stick and gearbox?
I have already left car, LC engine and gearbox in Poland (!) for the engine replacement so I can't check it myself.
The polish guys says that they don't match, but I don't think they have tried it yet. We have some language issues and I am not really sure that we understand eachother here.
As far as I can see online they should be the same (?):
