A couple of kilometres North of the Whyte Yarcowie-Jamestown Road is a small collection of buildings that define the town of Canowie Belt.
There is the ruin of a church, a house ruin and a community hall made of corrugated iron with a small stone room on the side.
The church stone and mortar structure is almost complete, without windows or roof, but it would seem that the landowner is tired of people visiting it and wandering around. To make it unattractive they have surrounded it with wrecks and rubbish. Disappointing but understandable if people were doing damage or trespassing.
