Patrol n00b

Hey guys,

I'm from near Bathurst in NSW. I've done a fair bit of 4WDing, but never owned a Patrol and don't know much about them. I'm not new to working on cars though.

I'm looking for a good solid diesel ute to be practical, move things around, occasionally do some towing, and still be capable offroad. My budget is fairly limited, and I'm mainly interested in leaf sprung GQs.

This forums looks great and you all seem very helpful so far, I'm sure I'll learn a lot.
