my name is James I just brought a 2012 gu8 patrol common rail deisel to replace my old tired pajero

anyway what im after is info on this car I and to set it up for touring and a bit of off roading water crossings ect and I would like to know what mods it would be best to look into eg diff breathers, intercooler ect but i dont want to pay through the roof also if you could please mention brands as well that would be much appreciated I havent done much touring just off roading

As far as I can see this is what it already has
ARB bullbar, side rails and rock sliders
ARB roof rack and awning (which im putting a foxwing on it)
ARB compressor
raskarr rear bar (2x jerry can holder and spare wheel holder)
Ridepro steering dampner
duel battery system
2" tough dog lift
Gme 80 channel uhf
boost and pyrometer gauge
3" exhaust
Redarc tailor brakes
safari snorkel
AVM hubs

I know i need a winch which ill put my old one on it

Any feed back would be great

Thanks James

Welcome mate. Looks in pretty good shape already. Have you thought about drawers? I have ordered a set from Drifta, which includes an extension so I can fold the back seats down to make the space a bed.

Welcome to the forum mate! Seems fairly well setup for touring already.

Possible nods to add. Cargo barrier and some sort of storage setup (drawers, shelves, whatever suits)

Also look into doing NADS. Plenty of info, just search 'nads' on the forum. Being a late model it shouldn't need it but worth having for peace of mind.

Cheers

Just reread, boost and pyro gauge is half your nads already. It mays have the rest fitted, you'll have to look.

Also what do you have in the way of lighting? Worth having good light for when we you drive at night

Cheers
