Hi Guys...
i have a bit of a problem... i have an 87 Navara King Cab 4x4 for which i cannot find a rear Diff. It's a 4.636 H233B LSD Diff i've looked all over Perth and followed Gumtree for several weeks... i read THIS POST (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?7610-4-6-ratio/page2) from Google Search. ... does anyone have one? If so please contact me or let me know .. there's several ways we can work a deal... Thanks a lot please see My axle ID code plate (https://www.dropbox.com/s/g3nxck7mo6wwqw8/diff_ID.jpg?dl=0)at the link below

Well... The Mystery is a mystery no longer!! It seems that in Australia.... Our D21 Pathfinder was born with a 4.8 ... The Yank one HAS a 4.6 go figure..:clownredpuff:

Patrols and 2x4 Navaras maybe 88 to 90 /?? had a 4.7.... the mysterious 4.6 was in the IMPORTED Terranos!!! AND the 1st imported King-cab 4x4s (which mine is)... so when i began this search i looked at maybe 20 Pathfinders ... and various 4x4 utes never saw another King-Cab with 4.6 in it..
i assumed that a Terrano was just another variant of the Pathfinder but it seems it isn't in Nissans eyes.. ( i never saw a terrano in the wreckers so i never looked at a plate in one):trink13:

Seems like Nissan in their great wisdom put different ratios in every variant Blah .... so that's that...

So this is what solved the riddle.
A few days ago i brought a Terrano for parts and or to sell bits off... i got it from Mandurah which is 70ks from me... went to see it .. forgot to look at the plate left it there to pickup later.. and went home .. met a guy on gumtree thru my add for a 4.6 he told me about the ratio in the Terrano... so i had the thing already but didn't have the good sense to look at the plate blah... Thanks everyone for your input :clapping:

My other half's patrol ute has the h233 open centre. It's useless. Want to chase up an lsd centre for it.

What year and ratio is it missy there's one at JMR Autos in Midland 9274 5955 ask for Harry and tell Him you are Steve's sister (that's me) tell him Steve dropped that diff back on Thursday and can you have it as i forgot that you needed one and it will fit . (that is if it's the right ratio) I paid him 250 for it and he did not give me my money back (i didn't push the issue though i should have) .. later when i need some parts i would think he will be more open to negotiation due to that LOL. He might give it up for free LOL.

i took it there on Thursday.. its a GQ or GU 4.7 h233b LSD it's in very good nick as i had a diff specialist from Perth Diff and Gearbox assess it for me i was gonna use it until i found out it was the wrong ratio. check your axle code on the bottom of the plate at the top right of the firewall for your vehicles axle ratio. here's what mine looks like --->> Axle code (https://www.dropbox.com/s/g3nxck7mo6wwqw8/diff_ID.jpg?dl=0)

Your car might be one of these codes at this site ---> Axle codes (http://forums.nicoclub.com/all-you-needed-to-know-about-nissan-axles-through-2004-t233955.html)
