For the first time the other day, I was driving on bumpy bitumen roads with a full load, and under brakes, the steering wheel wobbled. It did it 2-3 times and frightened the crap out of me. It only does it on bumpy roads and only under brakes - so far.

It did it on a freeway at about 60kmh and on bumpy country bitumen roads at about 90-100ks

One theory is that my cheesecutters are fitting into the road 'grooves' and fully loaded under brakes, the momentum is causing it to wobble.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated ?????

agree with Scott make sur e you get front end looked at completely, and get wheels rebalanced as a weight may have come off 1 rim.

I have this issue too, when ever I brake to slow down I get the mad wobbles lol always thought it was the tyres but they are balanced. The steering dampner is getting changed soon so I'll go from here but will be keen to here how you fix the problem DX, Let us know! haha

I agree with the other replies that this sound like something is worn or loose in the front end.

This sounds like it is a more consistant wobble than what Ross is experiencing and could be caused by warped front brake rotars/discs. I prefer to replace rotars rather than machining them.
