Hello
Here is the complete rebiuld off my 1991 y60.
I own it for a few years now
this is when i bought it
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/nissanoud1.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/nissanoud1.jpg.html)
this is what it looked like 1 year before i starded the rebuild
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1010669_zpsjkwggzsz.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1010669_zpsjkwggzsz.jpg.html)
But the rust bug got to it a bit and it needed a rebuild
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P3100493.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P3100493.jpg.html)
so i got a other body from a friend in France
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P3230514.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P3230514.jpg.html)
and took it home
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P3240516.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P3240516.jpg.html)
Stripped it completey and had it dipped in acid to strip the body of al it's paint.
So i had bare meteal to work on.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P7050218.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P7050218.jpg.html)
this body also needed work on rust spots but it was much better then mine.

the story continus
I got cut out fender flares from Iceland
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P9180095.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P9180095.jpg.html)
test fitted the massive flares and cut out the fenders
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P7160242.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P7160242.jpg.html)
made a hood scoop
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P8060285.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P8060285.jpg.html)
I wanded to make a hydro asised steering like i had seen in Iceland. But before i started building some thing i wanded to know how powerfull the steering allready is. So we tested it. And it lifts 700kg off stones with the tierod.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P9170354.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P9170354.jpg.html)
then modified a steeringbox to prvide oil for the extra cilinder
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P9150347.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P9150347.jpg.html)

and more
Fitted a custom made cilinder to the tierod.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1060662.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1060662.jpg.html)
i had to grind a bit of the diff carrier to fit the cilinder.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1060663.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1060663.jpg.html)
Test drove the setup with the cilinder and liked it. The car is more resposive to steering corrections and lest wheel wobbel.
after the test i could take the old body off and start on the frame.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1100667.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1100667.jpg.html)
the frame was in a bad chape. A lot off rust and cracks.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1110675.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1110675.jpg.html)
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1110674.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1110674.jpg.html)
the frond off the frame was ok but the back realy bad.
So i welded it on a subframe
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1150681.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1150681.jpg.html)
and cut the back off
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1210692.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1210692.jpg.html)
got a good backend from a short wheel base
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1150679.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1150679.jpg.html)
and welded that back on
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1210699.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1210699.jpg.html)
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1210697.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1210697.jpg.html)
sandblasted and welded plates in for more strength
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P3180189.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P3180189.jpg.html)
got new tires from the usa. 18/14.5/17
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1280003.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1280003.jpg.html)
new wheels (17x10) from Arctic trucks iceland.
they needed to be machined because they are fore a toyota hilux and the centre is not big enough
because a new hilux does not have big hubs.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P5220380.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P5220380.jpg.html)
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P5220383.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P5220383.jpg.html)
the new body in the paintshop
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P5290392.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P5290392.jpg.html)

Now continue
fitted custom cilinder to the tierod and made a testdrive.
The patrol was much more resposive to steering and less wheel wobble
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1060662.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1060662.jpg.html)
after the test drive i took the body off.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1100667.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1100667.jpg.html)
The back off the frame is in a bad chape
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1110674.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1110674.jpg.html)
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1110675.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1110675.jpg.html)
so i welded a sub frame to the frame
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1150681.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1150681.jpg.html)
and cut the back off and cleaned the inside off the frame
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1210692.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1210692.jpg.html)
got a good back off a shorty
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1150679.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1150679.jpg.html)
and welded this back on
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg316/Jan145/P1210699.jpg (http://s251.photobucket.com/user/Jan145/media/P1210699.jpg.html)
