Hi everyone I'm new to this I have a 2011 3l CRD wagon and I've just put on a 3" exhaust and a boost and pyro to it and and I want to know with the spikes like when I gun it it goes to 20 psi and even though I haven't released the acc it drops to 15 and 10 then climbs back to 15 and when I'm on the h/way and have cruise control on and on the flat the boost needle jit's moves around between anything from 10 to 20 pound but when u acc up a hill the needle will drop down to 10 and climb bak to 14 to 15 pound so it this normal or it just a dicky gauge
Thanks Adrian

Yeah I don't think its the exhaust cuz it's running heaps better and hardly any turbo lag anymore like she got sum get up and go like I know the turbo spikes cuz it's a variable flow turbo but not sure if it normal or it's just the gauge

Like u said It could be the exhaust but it's not laggin or running worse then before cause it running 100% better then when it had the stock one on

3"is too big for the CRD you'll find the 2.75" works better.
Whats done is done so as suggested PM Mudski for a Dawes and
needle valve to controll your boost.

not enough back pressure with the 3" exhaust your ecu cant handle the spikes yes you have more power. theres 2 ways to fix, dawes and needle valve plus block the egr as I said before send a private message to mudski for his kit or message evil twin to get the info on adjusting the turbo actuator valve. me I recommend mudski

don't block the egr till you get the dawes and needle valve kit. you will probably go into limp mode

Once you get the dawes and needle valve set up and the EGR blocked you will find that the boost will have a linear curve and be much more predictable. Power will also be constant/linear as well. It will be a much nicer car to drive.
