Hey all

Wondering if anyone has any experience with the above tyre? Getting some fitted soon for $279 a corner. From what i've read they don't seem to disappoint.

Got a set of these on the work Navara. I reckon they're petty good. Very good value, got about 60 thou out of the last set too. They seem to work well on the road too with only a little bit of noise. . . Think you should be happy with them.

Got new shoes fitted today. They are 285/75/16, same as my old tyres, yet they are larger? Anyone know why this is?
Anyway, haven't been able to test them properly as my arm is wrapped up from surgery last week, but will post progress reports later on.

Different manufacturers measure them differently its a pain in the ass really but not much we can do.

They look similar to a bfg at through the middle.

Well for the price I couldn't go wrong. Made in the USA and fitted for 279 a corner. Bob Jane was having them on sale for 300 fitted and I said no, so they've done ok bringing the price down.
Thought id keep track of the wear rate with this thread.

These were a contender in my final choice but went the maxis I could get in a 33x10.5 tyre.

So what size did you end up going?

Will be interesting to see your wear rates so keep us updated.

It's roughly the same as a 33".

32.8" theoretically.

Yea but what's that. I'm an imperial person lol.

285mm wide,,75 is 75% of 285mm is the side wall height and 16 for 16" rim
so its 285/75/16, or as NN said 32.8 but different 285s may be bigger

11.5" wide approx
From memory a 285 BFG A/T is a tad over 33"

There's a fair bit of dust on the steering column there Parksy, might want to get onto that!

I think this might have been mentioned before, but VERY nice GQ, like it a lot. Nice rims too, look awesome i reckon. . .

Cheers rossco. Yeah I've been meaning to give it a clean.

Tyre sizes are odd. Even a 33" tyre isn't actually 33" in diameter. Some are under, some over.

These ones are slightly larger than my old 285s and rub on the rear flares a touch when flexing.

Yeah i was curious why you were thinking about the roadrunner flexi flares. It's a bugger there's limited clearance with the factory flares i do like them, they look good too. I've got those roadrunner flares on mine and are happy with them tho.
